Rainbow Festival and Conference is a three-day event that celebrates the existing diversity at UCI and also educating around issues of social justice. This year's theme, "The Power of Words", will explore how words have the power to construct oppression while words can also be used to liberate and create change. In partnership with cultural clubs on campus and various UCI departments, Rainbow Festival and conference aims to promote dialogue around issues of diversity and multi-culturalism on campus.
 

Rainbow Festival and Conference 2011 events are co-sponsored by the following departments and organizations: Asian Pacific Student Association (APSA), Center for Citizen Peacebuilding, Center for Global Peace and Conflict Studies, Center for the Study of Democracy, Chinese Association at UCI, Hillel at UCI, Konnect, Movimiento Estudiantil Chicano de Aztlán (MECHA), Office of Equal Opportunity and Diversity, School of Social Sciences, Society of Arab Students, Teach for America, and Umbrella Council
